At the beginning of the nineties Plastinord decided to concentrate its investiments on a series of relevant modifications, applying new forefront thecnologies to production plants aimed at granting a specific working of nylon compounds.
Thanks to modern twin-screw plants, the firm is able to meet and satisfy even big requests in short time.
Plastinord is specialized in preparing and compounding polyamide resins. Polyamide is a thermoplastic material having good mechanic and thermal features. Its properties are the following ones: crystallisation ability and very good performances as for toughness, excellent resistance to chemical agents and its highest melting point enabling to employ it at high temperatures, too.
The electric features of nylon, properly strengthened, enable to use it under good insulation conditions.
The considerable auto-extinguishing properties favour a good flame resistance.
Therefore the polyamide lends itself to a lot of different applications: in fact it is used to produce technical parts in the engineering, mechanic, car, electronic and furnishing sector.
